Swarm of Autonomous Sailboats
Taking swarm robots out of the lab into the wild
This internally funded project is about building a swarm of small autonomous sailboats.
Main objectives of this project:
- building our own sailboat hardware platform
- autonomous sailing and navigation on our lake
- self-organized coordination of a team of boats
- task allocation and energy-aware decision-making
- long-term autonomy
- towards applications (e.g., from limnology)
