With our paper “Do We Run Large-scale Multi-robot Systems on the Edge? More Evidence for Two-phase Performance in System Size Scaling” by Jonas Kuckling, Robin Luckey, Viktor Avrutin, Andrew Vardy, Andreagiovanni Reina, and Heiko Hamann we won the best paper award for the multi-robotics section at the flagship robotics IEEE conference ICRA 2024. We are all very happy for this achievement. It gives us extreme visibility because basically the complete world’s robotics research community was there. Especially for our postdoc Jonas it can be a great boost for setting up his academic career in robotics. It is very motivating and encouraging that the community perceives our research as relevant, novel, and top quality.

ICRA 2024 was the world’s biggest robotic conference ever with around 2000 presented papers and about 6500 participants.
